Central Java is prospective economic investment because of its plantation, industrial, fishery, and agricultural sectors. Fishery is top rank of labour statistic of Demak, both fishing fish and dike. Fishery commodities marketing includes various fresh and processed fishes. Most of them comes from small scale home industry that uses simple processing technique. Since there is product quality issue, several large scale fish canning industries are built. Thus processed fish price grows higher from day to day, and fishermans' fish catch are dealt out in stabil rate especially in fish season.

Brown sugar industry development projects are located at Kecamatan Pamotan. The scopes of the project are sugarcane area expansion, production facility, and brown sugar factory construction. The purposes of the project are to optimize the dry land, increase sugar production, increase labour number, increase farmers' income. Technical aspects of the project are expansion of 5000 ha sugarcane fields and 4000 tons/season increase brown sugar production. Aetheric oil is export commodity of Batang. Almost all of the products are sold in out of the country. Oil comes from extracted patchouli leaf and clove. Perfumery, cosmetics, etc, use the oil ingredient.
