Lies in the height of 700 m above sea level, Seplawan Cave is a an original natural cave, located in Donorejo Village, kaligesing Subdistrict, about 20 km to the east from centre of Purworejo.Seplawan cave has specific ornament inside such as stalagtites and stalagmites, flow stone. helectides, soda straw, gouwer dam and carved wall which appear as fish skelton.The environment is very beautiful with its natural scenery and flora moss, completed with pine forest panorama.
This cave located in Donorejo village, Kaligesing Sub-districr 20 km to the east from Purworejo downtown. The interesting things about this cave are the ornaments that scattered inside the cave i.e: stalactite, stalacmite, flow stone, helectite, gouwer dam and the walls that took a fish shape. This cave also surrounded with an impressive floras, since it's in the middle of pine forest. It has 700 meter in long and 15 meter in diameter, that's not include 150-300 meter for their additional tunnels.
This cave is very popular since 2 Gold Statues which is Syiwa & Pawestri each 1,5kg has discovered here on Aug 1979. At the moment both statues is kept in Jakarta National Museum.
